New Brand: Paly Hollywood
Launched in 2020 by actor James Franco and fashion designer Kyle Lindgren, Paly Hollywood draws its inspiration from DIY punk clothing with an elevated touch. The usage of high-end fabrics finished with hand-dye and wash treatments gives each garment a designer, luxury feel. Each garment is then hand distressed, adding character which each thoughtfully planned tear, rip, or puncture, incorporating the punk flair.
The brand's artwork is a collage of excerpts and photographs, creating a vintage aesthetics through both art selection and color palette choices. The finalizing touches of James Franco's sketches printed as overlays replicates the look of the "DIY" era of self expression through customization.
Based around redefining "California Cool", Paly uses elements from artwork, cinematic references, and reimagined icons to create a fashion label that feels very Hollywood.
