Our newest capsule "No Vacancy" is inspired by the grungy aesthetic of vintage inspired pieces mixed with elevated cut & sew patterns & details. Each piece from the collection is cut & sewn in Los Angeles, starting with the fabric selection all the way to tagging & bagging. We decide to keep our design process local so we can be hands on with every process, going through multiple garment dye samples, different materials, ranging from rhinestones & rivets to fabrics & ribbings.
The graphics behind this design all are inspired & referenced from vintage pieces from the 70's to 90's. The concepts range from underground band tees, Americana classics, volunteer staff tees, & more. Each piece had recreated artwork to match the aesthetic of the vintage references & with custom dyes, washes, & distresses, we aimed to create the same look & feel. Our standout piece "GBP" tee includes hand set rhinestones, distressed screen prints, hand cut distressed details, & a custom dye & wash process. Every piece from this collection has undergone countless samples to get the perfect look.
The shorts included for this collection are a recreation of our back pleated trouser in a camo short for summer. We sourced deadstock repurposed military camo twill to create the perfect toughness & feel to the piece. Our pattern was redesigned for months to perfect the way the shorts sit on the body & flow with every movement, giving off an eye catching silhouette. To finish off the details, we added our signature "grease stain" effect using a custom spray to give darkened streaks throughout the shorts, adding the perfect touch of imperfection.
