New Brand: Maison Mihara Yasuhiro
Maison Mihara Yasuhiro's approach to fashion takes an innovative, artistic approach to everyday pieces. After graduating from the Tama Art University in Tokyo, Mihara worked under Issey Miyake, another Japanese designer known for his avant-garde style. He eventually left to found his self-titled label.
Mihara's love for shoes became a focus for his most recognized designs. Created sculptural midsoles on a similar silhouette to Nike's iconic Air Force or Converse's signature Chuck Taylor, he adds an artistic twist to what is seen as a more basic shoe. The usage of high quality materials and subtle changes to an already popular model, quickly rose caught the public's eye.
